Character profile:
June 2013: Red Black is a rather unassuming individual, and doesn’t appear to have formed any close relationships with other cranes yet. However, she does seems to like being surrounded by other birds but it’s not too bothered either way. Red Black Yellow and is the sibling of Waterwing, her sister. Unfortunately, Red Black Yellow picked up a leg injury in mid august, and had to remain at Slimbridge whilst 19 of the birds were transported down to Somerset prior to release. Sadly, despite a lot of care from Amy and the veterinary team, the injury continued to get worse, and on 17th September, Red Black Yellow had to be put down.
