Friends Reunited

Sedge feeding in pasture, early March, 2011

Over the last few days, 'the three amigos'  - Reg, Sedge and Monty - have been seen together, and separate from the rest of the group.  It is great to see that the tight bonds formed between these three birds are still there.  Throughout the the winter all the birds seemed to lose their allegiances and become one single flock.  Perhaps these three will take themselves off from the rest of the group over the coming weeks, and perhaps the remaining 15 birds are too-big for a single cohort, and will split too -    Watch this space!
