Curry Mallet Crane School

Painting 'Gilbert' a lifesize crane sculpture

I spent a fantastic afternoon last Thursday at Curry Mallet Primary School, where years 4, 5 & 6 have been creating some beautiful crane sculptures and writing poetry and haiku as part of the Great Crane Project's Crane Championing Scheme.  Crane volunteers Hilda Vaughan and Gwyneth Jackson led the session with the class teacher Wendy Devereaux.  Many many thanks to the adults and to such a fabulous group of young people for a truly inspirational afternoon!

  Sheer poetry!
